Credit sales and receivables
Match invoice records and collection dates against bank statements. A receivables list is included in Small and Growth packages.
MONTHLY BOOK CLOSING · WHOLESALE & DISTRIBUTION
Credit sales mean invoice dates, cash receipts, receivables, and returns happen at different times. Monthly closing matches sales records, return notes, supplier invoices, and bank statements so income, expenses, receivables, and payables are easier to review.
MONTH-END RECORDS
Match invoice records and collection dates against bank statements. A receivables list is included in Small and Growth packages.
Keep return notes and the original invoice reference with the sales register so cancellations or returned goods can be traced during month-end close.
Match supplier bills and payments against purchase records. Inventory valuation and cost-of-goods-sold calculations are outside the standard book-closing packages.
Monthly packages cover transaction recording and categorisation, bank reconciliation, simple adjusting entries, profit and loss, a balance sheet, and a one-page summary. Inventory valuation is outside the standard scope.
Management reports are not an audit. Tax return filing and tax payment are not included.
